Silver hues glittered in the darkness as she looked around her. She had been here, why was she here again? Carefully her bare feet moved across the stripped floors, wood decayed and creaking under pressure. Feline ears became alert as she heard the floor creak beneath her feet once. Stilling her movements she made sure no one had oddly heard her before shifting her weight to pull herself up onto the railing. Her eyes narrowed as she glanced down below.
He had to be here. There was no way she would have ended up here by accident.
She was about to turn away from her glance to the floor before a sharp sound caught her ears, flicking backwards her head turning to glance behind her just as she felt his claws dig into her tender throat.
"Did you honestly think I'd forget about you, mein liebes Kätzchen?"
Cage woke up with a start, sweat soaking her skin as she panted softly, rubbing her throat for her own reassurance before glancing around. At least she was alone, for now. Shaking she got to her feet, pulling on the nearby pair of black pants over her slender hips. Her feline tail swishing behind her as she glanced towards the nearby mirror.
There was a reason why she didn't dream, why Jacob, her long time cubi friend, had helped her with such things. Cage seldom dreamed anything pleasant, thanks to Jacob she didn't dream. Which meant one of two things, either Jacob was dead, which she highly doubted, or her nightmares were getting stronger.
Her past was bound to come back to bite her.
Taking in a deep shuddering breath, she tugged onto her tank top, only to notice her hands were shaking. 'Damn it,' she thought to herself as she buried her hands into her pocket once she had left the seclusion of her room. Last thing she wanted was the others to see her so spooked. After all at that moment she looked as though she had seen a ghost.
It was one of those times she wished she hadn't quit smoking. Simply because it gave her mind something else to think about, even though NP was huge compared to CC, at the moment it felt like claustrophobia. Making her way outside, she remained barefoot as she made her way to the river. Oh she was well aware of the gators and various other creatures that roamed the garden. Hopping down from the dock she landed in a crouch in the sand. The cool breeze that seemed to accompany the water somewhat soothed the Amurjin as she walked carefully along the shoreline till she spotted her destination. With the help of the awning she was able to pull herself back up onto the dock.
Out of pole dancing habit, she rose to her feet with a sway of her hip. Her feline tail keeping her balance as it swayed in her anxious thoughts. Following the boardwalk to the pool, she sidestepped away from the tile, instead taking her path through the grass and flowerbeds till she reached the true goal intended. A pile of rocks which the owners had affectionately given to her. Didn't help her scent was all over it, feline or amurjin. Darting amongst the various rocks she soon slid between two of them, the overhang hiding her form from view from at least sight if not scent.
Pulling her knees up to her chin, she buried her face into the smooth fabric, her arms hugging her legs closer. Why now? Of all times why wouldn't that damned Rat never leave her alone, even in her dreams.
